EA Games Origins Account - confused

Hi, DD loves Sims and has Sims 3 but we have a Mac so only way of getting Sims 4 is through the EA games online store Origins. The yearly account seems good value and she has friends who have Origins and wants to be able to connect with them.

Our confusion is that she is not the only one wanting to play games, OH and DS also would like to play too. Are you able to have different usernames/profiles within one account so when online it is clear who it is? We found when she played on Steam it came up with OH name and so his mates would start chatting to her. Also ability to set up child profiles so only able to play appropriate games?

We tried asking EA online chat but were unless. At one point they said each member of the household would need to pay for a separate account and each buy the game. This is not the case if you buy a disk but Sims 4 not available on disk for mac. Then claimed they hadn't said that but were not clear about set up.

I know that you can have different profiles within xbox live particularly ability to set up child profiles so only access to suitable games. I just want to know if this is possible in Origins too. Anyone done this or found they can't do this? Cheers.

@nct73 did you find an answer? I’ve got an Origin account and play through that, I’m happy to see if setting up a second account will work and come back to you if you want?

Let me know!
