Start using Mumsnet PremiumXbox memory
(3 Posts)I know nothing about video games/xbox's so this is probably a silly question but if anyone could help I would be grateful. My sons xbox has hardly any memory left... already deleted things he doesn't use. I want to get him a game for his birthday but it says it needs 16 gb data (8gb for game, 8gb for download). Can I just get a usb memory stick and put that in the back of the xbox to create more memory?
What sort of Xbox is it?
If it's an Xbox 360 or an Xbox One, you'd be best off getting a USB hard drive, which will be more robust than a memory stick. I use one of these: www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Slimline-Portable-Hard-Drive/dp/B008PABFX8/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1464687917&sr=1-1
Hi, hope this helps : if it's an Xbox 360 you can purchase a hard rive which you attach to the top of the Xbox, if it's the old models or if it's the Xbox slim then open a hatch on the vents along the side or you can always just purchase a memory stick. However, when you use a memory stick make sure you get a good one because the Xbox can reject to use it if it cannot configure correctly. If it's an Xbox one then you just buy a decent memory stick too. Hope I helped
