Fallout 4 Xbox one 20hrs of game play gone...

Just as it says in the title- I lost just over 20hrs of game play. Went to continue and its just not there.

Has this happened to anyone else? I know this game is glitchy but damn that was annoying!

I went to continue and my latest save was corrupt.

You must have earlier saves though? Can you reload from there or are they all gone?

I would be gutted if that happened it happened with Halo 3, although the saving mechanism was different - I never went back to it.

Only had corrupt earlier saves and one that was 54 mins so having to start from there!
From browsing the web about this apparently its really common. Advice is to save game and leave console on for a few minutes after just to make sure its logged. Am trying this. I'm trying everything I can think of tbh!
Also making sure its on the cloud.
Am womdering whether the 'Quicksave' option is at fault? Who knows.

I almost didn't continue either but the darn game is so good in other ways! I guess thats how Bethesda gets away with releasing games that still need work. Am going to cheat a little to find all the useful stuff so I can catch up with where I was.

From here on out its SAVE SAVE SAVE all the way!

I had a quick save corrupt but the one immediately before was fine. I auto save all the time and try and remember to do a proper one every hour or so.

You know, the silver lining to having to start again is I have managed to find one pretty cool weapon that I missed first time around and stumbled upon Trudy's diner which has been so useful. I reccomend the 'General Chau's revenge' sword!

I am really sad and save all the time generally save before any big fight as soon as I find anything good but I end up clogging up the game and then spend ages deleting loads of old saves. Just discovered that if you go to storage on the Xbox One you can delete all local saved games and just keep the cloud saves that has really helped with Just Cause 3 that's such a big game the saves seem to slow it down. My ds (font of all gaming knowledge) always leave console running for a few minutes he says 'its not fricking magic mum you have to give it a bit of time' I remind him I taught him to use a spoon and wipe his arse.

My game (ps4) recently glitched out and I can't fast travel anywhere. Google tells me it's quite common. It has put me off playing it for now. But I'll probably start a new game at some point. Bloody annoying though, I wish Bethesda would spend a little more time polishing their games before release.

Dp sent it back after this happened twice and he couldn't recover it at all Bethesda told him he would need to start again, he now doesn't have a single game for his one as that was the only reason he got it.

Just lost 5 and a half days worth of game time due to this. Over 100 hours and all to naught because of corrupted saving while playing offline :( .
