Hi. Can anyone help please, I've just had major surgery and going to be stuck at home for the next 6/8 weeks with limited mobility. I've played games on my laptop a couple of times - Harry Potter which I enjoyed. But I'm trying to find a game to download and play to stop me going stir crazy. Can anyone suggest something which requires a bit of brain power. Most of the ones I've come across seem to be aimed at young kids. Any help and suggestions very gratefully received. Smile

Google Steam - is a place to buy looooaaads of games, quite cheap, download and play, it will also check and update your graphics drivers etc. for you, which is nice.

There are old school games on there such as Riven, a point and click puzzle/adventure. Always some Sims, (newer versions on EA's origin rather than Steam), and if you want to die of heartbreak, anything by Bioware. You will fall in love with fictional character. And they will die. And you'll be sad.

Probably a bit late but just in case try the Good Old Games website (gog.com - I think). I got all the old King's Quest games and Legend of Kyrandia games which seriously tied my brain in a knot. Big Fish Games are good for hidden object games (Mystery Case Files are the best) which I'm kind of addicted to Blush

Monkey Island was the first long, clever game I got in to. Very funny.

There's a game (via Steam) called Minimetro which I have already dedicated hours and hours of my life to. You're building quite simplistic underground/metro systems in different city locations - it all looks very easy, and then suddenly you have a overcrowding and not enough tunnels or carriages - it gets completely absorbing. You can play the demo here to see what you think.

80 Days which you can get for your phone/tablet kept me occupied for weeks. It's based on Around the World in Eighty Days and is mostly text based, but don't let that put you off, each time you start a new game you can go via a different route around the world and there are hundreds of different adventures to find as you go.

I would suggest getting STEAM installed

Get the demo of the KERBAL space program, learn about rocket building and get it into space/moon

Build a ship/vehicle using your imagination in Robocraft

I also like DOTA2 but is steep and bit unfriendly lol

I would also recommend World of Tanks, the pace can be as fast or slow as you want depending on the type you choose (not on steam) PM me and I will send you a joining link I have.
