Recipes that use soup mix grains

I'm posting here as I'm guessing (hoping) that you will have the most imaginative recipes for these.

I've been given a 5kg bag ordered in error by elderly relative. Obviously I can use it to make broths, and I used some last night in place of green lentils in a cottage pie, but I'm hoping for genius new ideas and flavours to try please.

It's a mix of Pearl barley, spelt, peas, red lentils, yellow split peas and a couple of other I couldn't recognise.

Does anyone have recipes where I can cook them and then form them into something rather than just an addition to a soup or stew, or does anyone have any great flavouring ideas?

I've made scotch broth, Root veg and ginger broth, a sheep free shepherds pie with beets and many veg with a North African flavour (cumin, garlic, cinnamon).
The DC are in rebellion about daal: (overused recently as so easy).
All ideas very gratefully received!
