Chickpea dish - what can I used instead of lemon??

What can I use instead of lemon for this dish? I have an orange - would it ruin it? Thanks.

I'd just miss out the lemon rather than substitute orange tbh.

I think it needs the acid. Do you have a mild vinegar?

Or yes, just skip the lemon. Maybe add chilli for a bit of a tang but not necessary.

Both the mayo and the hummus in the recipe have a bit of acidity.

Yeah balsamic would be worth a try, if you want. I meant mild as in not Sarson's :D

Thanks. Worked fine without lemon or vinegar but might try balsamic another time.
