Edinburgh - accom near Prestonfield/Holyrood Park?

We're going to a wedding at Prestonfield House in June, and thought we'd make a weekend of it, as we never do the tourist thing in Edinburgh. dd and ds are invited, which is nice, and so ideally we'd like something v. near prestonfield house, so that when the dcs get tired, we can wander back, get them into bed, and then dh can head back to the party (they're more his friends than mine). Nothing hideously expensive - happy with B&B or self-catering. Any ideas? Thanks.
