Canvey Island - sandy beaches?

Hi...

We spent today exploring beaches around Southend (Leigh on Sea, Shoeburyness etc). They were ok - quite sandy - but had loads of pebbles in the sand which wasn't ideal. We were thinking of try Canvey Island next - does anybody know if it has similar beaches, or (hopefully) are they completely sandy without any pebbles? Thanks in advance!

Canvey Island has pebbles too. I lived there for 2 years.

Thanks. We'll have to keep heading for Walton-on-the-Naze for pure sand then! Lovely place, but a bit of a journey from London.
