Birmingham - night out? hotel? restaurant?

Hi,

Am going to be in Birmingham overnight on Monday. Looking to book a cheap hotel for the night and to combine it with a nearby couple of pubs and dinner. We will have the car with us but we want to dump it at the hotel and hopefully have a nice little night out.

Any ideas?

Hey,

I live in Brum. Depends what you are after. In town on Monday will be fairly quiet. Lots of hotels on Broad Street and lovely canalside pubs and restaurants across the way from them. With kids?
Brindley Place is the nice area of town for eating - usual suspects such as pizza express and cafe rouge. Centre of town you would have to walk from hotel or book into one on New Street, can't remember name off hand.

Yes agree sounds like you need to look at a hotel on Broad Steet so you can wander over to Brindley Place for the bars/restaurants. There is plenty of choice and if you're lucky with the weather it is really quite a pleasant place to be on a sunny evening.
