Toddler-friendly accommodation in Northumberland

We have three dcs aged 7, 4 and 15mths and hoping to holiday in Northumberland this August for a week. We would like to stay near the coast, perhaps Bamburgh but need accommodation that is safe for our very adventurous toddler. Can anyone recommend any good cottages or holiday parks in the area?

Bamburgh is lovely but is very popular, so there might be very little availability for August. This holiday company looks good, but is expensive. More properties here. Sorry, I can't recommend any cottages personally as have only stayed in friends' apartment.

What about Seahouses?

Not sure if this is allowed, but we have a cottage in Amble, about 20 mins south of Bamburgh, on the edge of a little promontory. Def suitable for toddlers, although 2 of your dc would have to share as only three bedrooms. You can find it at www.northumbria-cottages.co.uk/browseproperties.htm (not linking directly to the property to save this being an utter advertisement!). Lots of other cottages at this site so you could browse a bit
