Wanting to visit london for two maybe 3 nights in the half term with my kids who are 4 and 20months. Can anyone help me try and decise where to stay as want to go to london zoo, london aquarium, the eye and a bit of shopping to go with it (nothing to flash)! Will be taking the car so travelling not a problem but would like some nice views and restaurants of an evening! Dont want much do i! Help would be much appriciated x
just noticed that you said you will be taking the car. lots of central london hotels don;t have parking. those that do charge a small fortune for it, and don't always mention this upfront on the websites. worth checking with wherever you choose.
We stayed at the County Hall Premier Inn and it was fine - was a Travelodge then, so pretty basic but it's been tarted up a bit. About 15 seconds to get to the eye and the Aquarium, and nice restaurants nearby. And teh South Bank is great for kids - Trafalgar Square etc easily walkable.
