CENTER PARCS -- how basic is a 'Comfort' villa?

Looking at a midweek visit to Elveden next March. Prices for four nights are £315 for Comfort, £365 for Comfort Plus, £375 for Woodland Lodge or Executive Villa.

We're CP virgins so can any experts comment on whether the Comfort villa is fine or if it's worth upgrading to one of the others?

We will be two adults plus 2yo DS. I will be v pregnant so will want some home comforts!

Also this might be a daft question but what is included in the price? Do you have to pay extra for stuff like using the pools, kids' activities etc?

They are pretty well equiped from what I can remember. You get the tv in the living room and all the cooking facilities. Swimming is inc but everything else has to be paid for. Though that is the same no matter which villas you are in.

I normally stay in the comfort plus, but its still pretty basic. Personally if you can afford to go for the Woodland Lodge or Executive Villa (even better). Have never stayed in the EV but have been inside them and they look beautiful!

We started going in executives after a couple of years in comfort and apart from the suana and that you get TV's and hairdryers in each room the only difference is the way that they are decorated. Cooking facilities, beds etc all the same. Oh you get a whirlpool bath in EV.

The only thing included is the pool. Everything else is extra. The comfort villas are really quite basic so go for the executive if you can.

Comfort is fine. We go every March! It's basic but adequate. Which one are you thinking of going to?

We normally stay in executive. Last year, we decided to save money and stay in comfort plus. We won't do that again. The main problem for us is that there is no dishwasher and also no ensuites. The decor and condition of all of them at Elvedon are poor. This year we are staying in one of their newly built lodge/villa things. I am hoping they will be fab!

As to what is included, basically it is just the pool. But this is enough really with a 2 year old. The extra activities are expensive and not worth it at that age. A swim in the morning and nature walks, playgrounds, soft play in the afternoon is plenty.

Just re-read. We go to Elveden too. You won't spend a lot of time in the villa anyway. It has beds, a bathroom, kitchen, tv, radio, hairdryer, hoover, highchair, cot, table, sofa, open fire. What else do you need? Swimming pool's good and free which is great. Take your bikes, it's not hilly at all and you can put ds in a trailer and pootle about. There's nice wooden playground and you can watch the deer/rabbits/squirrels from your patio in a morning.

The accommodation ime is basic but clean and comfortable enough. We had an executive once and yes it was much nicer but didn't make a massive difference to the holiday.

Never been to Elveden though.

No the walking's part of the fun. I think the execs are mostly fairly central anyway.

The apartments do not have fires apparently but the villas do, afaik.

Thanks for all the answers! We're not too worried about basic accommodation (we're campers so anything with walls and a roof is a luxury) as long as it's clean.

As it's only for four nights I think we'll be fine in a Comfort by the sounds of it.

We're off to the one at Longleat in March. We've booked an Exec too, but not bothered with paying the extra for chosing the location.

MB - go for the WOoodland Lodge or the exec one if you can afford it - the beds are better and the bathroom has underfloor heating - which is fab in the winter! I dont think the exec ones are worth the extra, unless you are used to that lifestyle - my brother usually has one of those and uses the sauna to dry the towels!!! Also being heavily pg I would look to book a specific villa - you can pay for a central area, middle area or outside area - so could be a five min walk to the main centres or 20 min + walk - not too good if wet and cold and heavily pg. I think it costs a further 25 to 35 to pick a specific villa - we have two or three favourites, but not at Elveden - maybe someone can recommend a set of numbers / areas to choose from!
