Have got a week with the MIL and two littlies (3 and 18 months) in Henley on Thames.

Any tips for things to do?

There is also The Mad House in Reading if the weather is bad.

Nice walks and park by the river in Henley

Wellington Country Park

Goring and streetley are nice to walk with the children too

Child Beale is Fab - used to live really near and I loved it

Bit further afield is The Look Out in Bracknell. Big play area, forest walks and indoor science discovery centre. Does get busy but there is usually space to have a picnic and play in the woods.

Thank you all - wellington park looks particularly good and great to have a fall back in case the weather stays this bad.

Am really grateful.

Beale park is great for under 5's - remember swimming stuff for the paddling pool. Have been going there since I was tiny myself, and DS had a whale of a time when we went recently with my parents.

Wellington Country park was great too - huge picnic area, but not well endowed with toilets.

Theres a free riverside paddling pool in Wallingford, and an open air swimming pool.

The Shire horses are back at the centre in Maidenhead too
