We need to go Sat/sun 16th/17th August

We cannot get the tesco's vouchers until Mon/Tues/Wed next week so we are out of time

Will a sob story work?

PS where should we go - we live in Norfolk - we are thinking of Mablethorpe?

FAQ Wed 30-Jul-08 16:33:35

why can't you get the vouchers (I'm presuming ones that you use clubcard vouchers for??? - if not ignore me lol) until next week?

Fimbo Wed 30-Jul-08 16:35:41

Tesco vouchers come really quickly. If you order them today they should come by Friday.

My friend didn't like Mablethorpe.

KatyMac Wed 30-Jul-08 16:36:16

They take 5-7 days to arrive

FAQ Wed 30-Jul-08 16:37:17

are you ordering them online?

I ordered some oneline (they were days out voucheres - but I presume it's the same for the other vouchers you can get) last Tuesday afternoon - and they arrived last Thursday morning!

If you weren't in Norfolk I would have suggested Caister as it is fab!!!

hastings was nice, as was Burnham on sea. I guess that may be too far though. I think that one of the onces further up the East cost is nice - Scarborough area I think - although we havn't been.

You can always ring Haven and explain before you get the vouchers and they will advise you. They are very good and very nice.

Fingers crossed I get them soon

Haven have said yes (but I mustn't tell anyone blush)

KatyMac Wed 30-Jul-08 17:12:52

I was at Burnham 2 yrs ago - but it is too far for DH to travel

Caister is about 4 miles away

FAQ Wed 30-Jul-08 17:14:52

glad Haven have said yes smile

You'd better watch out ShellyLou and I will
be around your area for a whole week with our 4 DS's (3 of mine and 1 of hers) so if you see 2 crazy looking women with 4 young boys (oldest 7) walking towards you between the 2 and 9th of August RUN grin

KatyMac Wed 30-Jul-08 17:32:58

Want to come for a cuppa?

FAQ Wed 30-Jul-08 17:33:31

oooo - dunno - have to ask Shell

DontNeedAnything Wed 30-Jul-08 17:55:18

I know how far Caistor is - that's why I ruled it out wink

FAQ Wed 30-Jul-08 18:01:33

<<<<<<<comes back off MSN after a lengthy dicussion as to whether KM could cope with our 4 DS's - even for the time it takes to make a cup of coffee and drink it - and says yes that would be lovely>>>>>>>

KatyMac Wed 30-Jul-08 18:03:53

Depends on where from?

It's 4 miles (or so) from me grin

popsycal Wed 30-Jul-08 18:05:39

i ordered tesco vouchers at 2pm one day and they arrived the next day

did it online

KatyMac Wed 30-Jul-08 18:19:18

Fingers crossed they arrive

Now do I book a cheap caravan or something more expensive?

eandh Wed 30-Jul-08 18:23:05

we went for the more expensive caravan when we went to haven (silver I think and we had a brand new caravan that nobody had stayed in before) plus when the travel cot wouldnt fit in either bedroom some lovely man popped by and unscrewed one of the beds so it fitted in the 2nd bedroom (we wnet to Rockley Park in Dorset was lovely and umming whether to go there or butlins again next year)

KatyMac Wed 30-Jul-08 18:35:43

Was it worth the extra money?

Were the others shabby looking?

DontNeedAnything Wed 30-Jul-08 18:42:27

The Bronze ones can be quite old - pot luck really.

Silver are usually newer.

We have stayed in Bronze, silver and Gold in teh past.

Gold was gorgeous, double glazing, central heating the works, modern furnishings, fitted kitchen, en suite; the works....fantastic (was a free upgrade). BUt TBH in was alittle unnecessary for a holiday home.

Silver was nice and modern too but without the luxuaries.

Bronze was the same as the silver as far as functionality was concerned - but a little more dated and showing it's age in places.

I would be happy to pay for Silver or Bronze again in teh future.

eandh Wed 30-Jul-08 18:50:08

if we go again we'd def go silver as the minimum level, any good offers on gold and we'd pay for that (friends had gold and was lovely inside)

KatyMac Wed 30-Jul-08 18:54:05

Thanks I guess Gold, Silver & Bronze translate to Presitge, Super & Standard

So Silver is worth it.

OK I'll get a price

out of curiousity what do tesco vouchers offer towards a haven holiday?
