Yep I have. We go every year in winter. The pool is super quiet. We have done crazy golf, horse riding, cycled lots and dh did archery one year. They wouldn't let you out on the lake though. It's fine, you just wrap up warm.

we went to a belgian one in October....it was a bit cold but the weather was dry so we were able to cycle every day.

have been to the Lakes one in February, and it was a bit miserable for the outdoor stuff, although sitting in the hot tub with the snow tinkling down around us was pretty special

it is best in winter IMO as doing outdoor stuff in the cold wears the kids out faster, it gets dark so you go to bed early and you buy those cheesy logs for the fireplace and hole up indoors with the leftover christmas Quality St

Have successfully done crazy golf, petanque, table tennis, archery, bike riding, lots of outside swimming (v exciting to swim in snow/rain/dark)

take warm clothes, waterproofs, slippers, lots of hot chocolate

better to take the bikes if you can but tis a horrible job loading them on the car in the rain.

We take our own bikes. Saves spending on bike hire.
We have always been in winter, often Jan/Feb. Have always had a gd time.
We keep thinking we must go in the summer one time!

Great NP thanks. Ds has a December party - have just looked at the party place he wants to have his party in and by the time I add up hire charges, cost per child and party bags we could have a weekend at Center Parcs. Just need to break it gently to dh now.

Hope you have a great time at Christmas!

We used to go October and February and again in June (yes I know we spend way too much time at CP)

When we went in February it snowed twas amazing! Cycled in it and also swam outside so it was snowing on our heads at night.

Waterproofs, wellies and a sense of adventure, that's all you need. Oh and of course chocolate, hot chocolate and the logs for the fire

I went in January. It was 15 degrees. About the same temperature as it is today in July. I don't think seasons exist any more.
