Family friendly hotels in London

Hi,

we are hoping to go for a short break to London later on this year. There will be four of us - me, DH, DSS (14) and DD (2).

Can anyone recommend any good hotels, particularly ones with family size rooms? We don't really want to fork out for a separate room for DSS if we can help it...

Thank you in advance smile

depends where in London you want to be

the Darlington on Hyde Park is nice, reasonable and has family rooms ie a double and a twin adjoining

if under 15, I am sure you can have 4 to a room at the Premier Inns.

we stayed at the one behind the London Eye. County Hall Premier Inn. It was excellent, one ds on the sofa bed and other ds on mattress on floor. Great buffet breakfasts at £7.50 per adult, with a child eating free. Costa coffee downstairs, so we go them a hot choc before bed!

As such a big old building, the walls are thick, so you weren't disturbed by others, beds very comfy.

But book early, it is incredibly popular.

Try The YHA. They have several in London (St Paul's is probably the most central) and you can get a family room.

The YHA looks interesting.

We want similar - but for 2 adults and 3 children - blardy impossible (or blardy expensive).

the best are the apartment style hotels (but not as nice as hotels imo). There's citadines and citybase apartments. Have used both for people if you want to know about them.

we stayed in the YHA across from St Pauls when we first arrived in London and I would really recommend it... especially if you are going to be exploring London so only need a bed.

There was a thread recently about family membership for £10 too.
