we've been to Cleveleys, and as far up as Fleetwood, we've also visited the zoo. Walking down to Lytham st Anns next week.
Any other places within a half hour drive worth a visit from Blackpool?

It’s about 8 miles from Blackpool to Lytham
You should do it in about 2 and 1/2 hours

Lytham and st Anne's are two separate places and will take you ages to walk there either get a bus or drive. You have the piers you could visit(check if there open though I'm not sure when they open for season) stargate is nice for a walk on the beach and running up the sand dunes. Kirkham is about 20 mins away by car and Preston 30 mins if you want to venture further.

Poulton-le-Fylde is 4 miles inland and is a small market town. The churchyard is full of crocus at the moment too. The Pork Shop sells amazing pork pies and the New Penny is a lovely cafe and ice cream shop. Lots of other places to eat lunch - Nuvo, Tinderbox. Lots of restaurants at night.
Wyre Estuary Country Park at Stanah is a nice walk along the river.

Possibly a silly question but did you go up the tower? It's definitely worth a visit, the 4d cinema is part of the experience and we all loved it.

Not this time. We used to go and watch the ballroom dancing in the afternoon, charging £4 now so didn’t bother as there was a load of us.
