Childfree luxury break in Northumberland

Any ideas for self catering places for two adults in Northumberland? Both mine and DH's 40th's next year and we're looking to go to Northumberland for 2-3 nights.

Not stuck on a certain area of Northumberland, although we do like Alnmouth and Alnwick but open to ideas.

We're looking for somewhere walkable to a centre, with some nice pubs and restaurants, near a supermarket and not too far from a beach but doesn't have to be right on the coast.

Outside space would be good, and somewhere more luxurious as we're not often childfree so unlikely to have this kind of break again in the near future.

Any ideas?

Seaview Caravan Site, Seahouses. There are coffee shops, independent shops, a Co-op and places to eat, all within walking distance. The Links Hotel serve really good food. There is a fabulous beach, ten minutes walk away. The site itself is lovely and includes a leisure centre with a pool, spa, steam room, sauna and gym. There is also a licensed cafe that serves food. These facilities are absolutely brilliant.

They have luxury lodges as well as holidays homes for hire and this:

Sorry, it’s Seafield not Seaview.

Look on Coastal Retreats website they have some beautiful properties with honest reviews. I think they had a two person boat house. We have always had the DC with us report back in your choice. Grace Darling holidays are nice too but definitely Coastal Retreats if you can afford it and can find what you are looking for with them.

I haven’t stayed here but this always sounds lovely it’s the Coastal Retreats Boarhouse at Alnmouth.

Try Coquet Cottages - we stayed in Pottergate in Alnwick which was amazing! But no outside space. They have many lovely options though.
Craster might suit, or Bamburgh?

Apologies for not replying, I've been ill and not had chance to look through everything properly!

Thanks for all the suggestions though, I love the look of the boathouse in Alnmouth, that sounds perfect.
