Uk holiday ideas for February that aren't seaside holidays

Looking to book a cottage in the UK over February half term. Asking for ideas of somewhere that isn't on the coast as we're going on that type of seaside holiday later in the year and want something different.

Thanks! Smile

I’m not sure where you are but the following springs to mind:
Bath/Bristol. Lots of things to do for kids inside and out.
Edinburgh
Lake District

These log cabins are really cosy in the winter. Some of them have hot tubs and a log burner. www.forestholidays.co.uk

We went to the New Forest last February. Hired bikes, went horse riding, visited Beaulieu and Bournemouth beach (maybe you can skip that). We rented a cottage for the week which was well stocked with board games. It was a lovely, relaxing week.

Somewhere near hull? Lots of free museums in the centre and the deep is very good too.

We usually go up to the Highlands in February. Aviemore/Newtonmore/Kingussie. Can go up the Cairngorms on the vernacular, loch walks, there's a Widlife park in Kingussie.
