Woodland cabins

Hello!
I’m wondering if anyone has stayed in a lovely woodland cabin/cottage that they would recommend? Nothing too pricey and can fit 2 adults and 5 kids in February half term.
Just want to get away from everything for a couple of nights and let the kids run free.
Happy to drive for up to three to four hours from Surrey.

Blackwood Forest is probably the best but it's rather pricey in the summer. Not sure what it's like for February.
Otherwise try Oakdene Forest Park in Dorset or Merley Woodland Park near Bournemouth.

I would prefer to stay in a cottage in February personally because it can be quite chilly then (and we have had snow most often in Feb too) I can recommend //www.wringworthy.co.uk who are in Looe Cornwall. Its about a 3-4 hour drive as its the nearer bit of Cornwall. they have a couple of large cottages on the site sleeping 7 -9 . when mine were little they used to enjoy feeding the farm animals and they have a very large games barn with heating and lots of play equipment including stuff for teens. near to the sea too and we love SE Cornwall.
