Legoland Wasps?

Thinking of doing Legoland Windsor in August, but have bad memories of being there about 7 years ago and the wasps were awful. You could not queue, have a drink, have a snack, take a photo or walk about without fending them off!

I am wondering if it was a one-off or a Legoland thing?

Does anyone have any recent experience of Legoland?

Thanks very much.

Confused wasps are everywhere in summer?! I was there at the end of may and it was fine.

We went last August and had heard the wasp horror stories on mn, but it wasn't too bad. Yes there were Wasps but they didn't ruin our trip. They do have wasp traps in most of the trees so I think that helps keep them under control.

I was there a fortnight ago. No wasps.

Thanks for your responses. I know wasps and summer go hand in hand, but it was quite extreme last time we were there!Smile

i was there last week - no wasps.

When we went in August 4 years ago they were everywhere & my 4yo got stung. They did seem to have lots of traps dotted around the park though, so were clearly trying to keep it under control. My best advice is don't get the refillable drink bottles that hang round your neck - thats an invitation for trouble!
