DH has given me a weekend pass so 2 girlfriends & I plan to go walking somewhere - you know, base ourselves somewhere comfy with access to nice food & go tramping during the day, returning to a hot bath & a good dinner.
Can anyone suggest a nice B&B or pub-with-rooms in a location with great walking? It needs to be within a 2-3 hour drive of London (probably no further north than the peak district or west than Bristol).
Thank you!
The cotswolds in nice (that's why I live here). Plenty of flattish walking.
BTW try the youth hostel association - they have some really nice places these days near pubs.
