Cottages or holiday houses to rent in Salcombe and Tenby.

We want to go to Tenby in the Easter school holidays and then Salcombe in the August school holidays. We’ve never been to either place before so would like somewhere to stay in each place that is near the town centre / beach if possible. There are only 2 adults and a 10 year old dd so houses do not need to be huge. Can anyone recommend any nice places please?

Would you consider near Tenby? It's very busy, so places might have sold out by now. I'd look at Airbnb or similar. It's a compact town so you're never far from the sea.

If you are travelling by car to Tenby make sure parking is included. We had an apartment by the north beach, but had to park in the pay and display car park by the hospital. Cue having to get up early every morning to feed the meter.

For Salcombe, take a look at the Helpful Holidays website for cottages. It's a great website. We booked through them this year after a colleague recommended them.

We stayed in Dartmouth last August used Coastal Cottages, they specialise in West Country and I remember they had some nice places in Salcombe.

We’ve stayed here in Tenby a few times. There’s no view to speak of or garden but it’s five mins walk from North Beach and has parking, although the entrance is a little narrow. Lovely cottage.
