Do you want to know about the site or the area?

I don't know the site (well know where it is but not been on it) but know the area if thats any help. and we have stayed at other Havens.

Both I suppose Mrs Who. Haven in general too.

If it turns out to be awful, is there enough to do round about?

Haven in general- I have been to a couple (Scotland/Wales) caravans fairly basic and I avoided the entertainment but as you are planning on going termtime it shouldn't be too bad.Accomadation shouldn't be toobad as it is a newish to Haven site and I assume that they willhave updated it.

Area- lots of outside stuff not muchto do in bad weatehr

Duckys park farm - very close to site, fairly new good soft play thing if everything else fails and VERY good cake!

South Lakes Zoo - about 20 mins away in a car , good day out, lots of talks about the animals, park is very small though and cafe is crap (and expensive)

Yes we went last year, it was nice, quiet but peaceful, the site shops etc are major rip off but they are everywhere, the farm (literally just around the corner from site) is lovely, has a soft play area too, our dd really enjoyed that, and there are plenty of little villages nearby to go and visit, we also did the steam train ride which dd loved!

It is a nice clean site, i think we stayed in a silver caravan. I was pregnant too with my ds at the time, July should be fine and nice and warm we went at Easter and it was bloody freezing! as the bedrooms and bathroom had no heating.

I guess if we were going beginning of July it might be quieter. English schools will still be in. Unless it's full of Scottish folks!
