I’m looking for somewhere you would go for a lazy, delicious late breakfast or brunch. A kind of Sunday morning place (although this will be mid-week). Somewhere good for couples, somewhere you could take your book and relax for a couple of hours in comfy surroundings. Thinking big couches, eggs Benedict, Good coffee sort of vibe.

Does such a place exist in the city centre area?

Cosy club would be nice. Its probably one of the best in the centre. Its not an independent but it does tick all your requirements

Waterloo tea - city centre
The plan - city centre
Early bird bakery - no comfy sofas but amazing brunch and bakery. The best French toast in the world.
Juno lounge is good too.

Eek sorry I didn't see city centre.

Waterloo tea is independent. Great coffee. Really good eggs Benedict. I think some sofas. A much nicer vibe than cosy club. They always have a different guest artist exhibition which is nice.

Does it have have to be the centre? St David’s hotel at the bay has lovely comfy sofas and the food there is yum

Cosy Club is nice but we haven't been since we were served gone off fish fingers on one occasion and gone off beer in the other!

Thank you all!

I said city centre because that’s where we are staying and don’t have too much time available.

Now off to look at all of these and drool over menus!
