We're going next week, what do we need?

So far on the list:
Swimwear
Warm clothes
Exercise clothes
Towels

Do we need household stuff or is that all provided?

I always forget cooking oil, salt and pepper. Depends on what kind of cabin you have booked as to whether you have a cleaner, or you can pay extra as an add on. If you have a cleaner they will change the single teatowel and bring more dishwasher tablets etc. Otherwise I’d take them. I always take small bottled water as I tend to take them out and about and have one in my swim bag too. Enjoy!

We always take a chopping board, wok and decent knives if we're cooking, washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs, teatowels, kitchen roll. You can buy some of those things in the shop but they cost a lot.

Take some 20p's for the swimsuit spin drier things at the pool, amazing how much water they get out.

We're going this week too, our 10th trip. Love CP, have a brilliant time!

Hahaha to lube!

Thanks - I have no idea if we have a cleaner, is it only certain accommodation? We're in a woodland lodge.

7 year old is a bit disappointed that most of the fun activities are aged 8+ - is there much I can book him in for?

Loads and loads of money. Christ it’s expensive but fun. I took loads of snacks, juice etc so I didn’t have to lose my life savings on keeping my son full Confused

My boys consistently love cupcake making for some reason. They also like booking a badminton court and bowling. But mostly they just like hurtling through the woods and falling in ponds Hmm

Take birdseed, if you have any knocking about. Chuck it out your backdoor and see the squirrels, geese, ducks, deer, moorhens etc appear like you're snow white!

Also a disposable BBQ, so you can cook on your patio if you like.

They sell both birdseed and BBQs in the Parc Market, but the price mark up is large.

We stayed in a woodland lodge last month.

I took a full shop as the food is expensive. Also took a couple of bigger saucepans and roasting tins etc as we planned to cook in and most of the time I find the pans etc that are supplied are tiny.

Extra loo roll, hand soap, tea towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll and surface spray.

Worth taking a couple of swimming towels each as if swimming everyday it can be hard to get stuff dry.

We had a great time though! Ds is only 15 months but he loved it!

P.s no cleaner in the Woodland lodges I'm afraid.

If you go on the website and put in your booking reference it should list all the activities available whilst you are there.

Your DS will probably want to spend a lot of time in the pool.

If you are in an ordinary Woodland lodge I don't think you get a cleaner. I always take washing up liquid, cleaning cloth, general purpose cleaning spray, kitchen roll, hand wash and an extra toilet roll. They do provide some household stuff but not much.

We always take breakfast stuff and some snacks but eat out for the rest of our meals.

Comfortable shoes for walking round the site.

Torch can be useful.

Thanks! I had a feeling the woodland lodge wouldn't include a cleaner... im making a note of all suggestions thanks :-)

Are the parcs well lit? I'm doing (early stage) running training and would like to do 2-3 runs, probably after kids bedtimes - is this a bad idea?

They’ve never checked ages on any activities we’ve done. I’ve booked my then 7 year old on 8+ activities.
Take a bike lock if you’re taking bikes, extra toilet rolls, towels for swimming.

Was at sherwood last month, not hilly at all. Take headtorch or something for dark runs though, more so other people can see you.
Couple of great playgrounds & 'beach' should occupy good few hours. Waterproofs (obvs). Good wi fi provided.
V limited amount of cutlery! We kept running out of spoons! Take ice cube tray if you're on the gin as we were. Extra towels. Loads of food. We took 3 year old so v different age, but didn't do any activities at all. Pool, playgrounds, bike riding & wildlife & a bit of CBeebies occupied all week no probs
Enjoy!

You could do your Tesco online order to deliver when you arrive

Not a bad idea Smile We're staying locally in a travelodge the night before so were planning on a lazy breakfast and trip to the supermarket on our way there, but might be worth doing click and collect (or similar) to save time...
