We're having to travel to London soon with my 2.6yo (and bump ) so we're looking for a child friendly place to have lunch, with decent food for adults. It will be on a Sun.

Victoria & Albert Museum, in S Ken.I thought you were going to the museums? If not, not so handy. Though it has the Kylie exhibition, also a new one on Surrealism so plenty to see there. I love the place!

giraffe on the near end of high street ken?

Ask/ pizza distress at gloucester road tube - but 'med kitchen' further up is nicer.

Or museum catering

child firendly restaurants in London you have to look through to find one near where you're going to be though.

I'm actually going to vote for the French election at the consulate. It's on Cromwell rd. Would love to visit museums but with my daughter, hubby and bump in tow, I don't think so!

There's a Carluccio's near S Ken tube

Or Daquise for Polish food (not sure how child friendly though)

There's a Carluccio's on the corner of Brompton Road right opposite S Ken tube which is family-friendly. They have high chairs and kids menus for colouring etc and lovely food for adults too. I think they were doing coookie decorating for Easter too, but not sure if that's en every day thing. Come out of the tube entrance that faces away from the museums and it's straight ahead of you, across the intersection.

Sounds great! Remember you can walk to the Science Museum from S Ken tube along the underground passage - saves having to cross a lot of tedious roads with a pushchair.

We were hugely disappointed with Sticky Fingers - waited so long we ended up paying and leaving before our final course came. There were less than 20 people in the whole place so not busy either.

Right, after an exhausting trip and an exhausting wait at the consulate, we consoled ourself at Caluccio's and it was FAB ! The food was delicious, the staff very nice and helpful despite the fact it was rush hour, and excellent with kids. Definitely the place to go in SK. Thanks Mumsnet
