See what's on at the Tate modern/wellcome collection/national gallery? Walk along the Thames, science museum, V&A, national history museum?

Southbank in the evening is lovely just by westminster. Covent garden in the day. Hyde park. Museums. Tussads is just a wind up you will spend more time queueing up. Westfield shopping. Harrods? Buckingham palace. Big ben? Parliament? Mi5? London bridge? The time will go very fast so do your research and plan your days. Have fun!

I know it will go really fast that's why I want some sort of plan rather than wandering around aimlessly lol. I'm really looking forward to it ds is off to cub camp so I thought it would be an ideal time to spend some time with dd.im trying to persuade her not to go to tussauds.

I wouldn't do tussards. It'll be really busy and you'll spend all the time queuing to get in.

The national history museum is great - especially the geological section x

She will love Matilda if you can get tickets for that it's brilliant!

Tower of London? Afternoon tea somewhere posh or ice cream in harrods? So many lovely things to do Smile

Have a look on the kids week website, they do free children's tickets for some west end shows in august, there might be some tickets left. We got a good deal for horrible histories

Open top bus tour round the tourist sights, or boat trip on the river. The tower. Greenwich (ships, observatory etc...). My DD loves taking the DLR down there ( no driver at the front of the train, so can sit looking out the front windows, great view of Canary Wharf, the dome etc)
