I've got tickets for next May for Harry Potter and the Cursed child. Can anyone recommend somewhere reasonably priced nearby to stay?

London Central Covent Garden Travel lodge is about 10-15 mins easy walk.

I'll piggy back on this - managed to get tickets for July 😎

I can't believe how much they cost 😱

Tickets. I booked 6 - will be getting money from friends for 4 but we got good seats so it was £70 per ticket per person x 2 cos it's 2 shows! I'd only just cleared my credit card & now looks pitiful again 😏😁

Oh I booked the cheapest ticket as did a girl I know and she had no issues with the seats. I did have them for last August but couldn't afford to go after family holiday.

There are premier inn hubs? I wonder if these are any good?

I stay at the travelodge on Drury Lane, very quiet and only 5 minutes from the theatre

Premier Inn Hubs are great but rooms are really small!

Yeah it's only really somewhere to sleep I guess but if we're making a weekend of it may be best staying in a bigger room than the hubs Smile. Thank you for the advice so far! Very much appreciated to try get the cost down!

I didn't realise the cost til I got to the payment bit & was too scared to go back in case I lost my place in the queue. Thing is, they're not the best seat but they were the top price!

I'm trying to convince myself once I get 2/3rds back, I'll use that for travel/accommodation so I'll pay it all up over the next 15 mths so at least I'll get to spread the cost.

And your thread has given me some ideas re hotels too so all good 😊

I got tickets too, for next June. Waited in the queue for bloody hours. Had given up hope. They are not good seats but I have become slightly fixated on getting tickets so I'm pretty happy.

I was 1200 and something in one queue so didn't take long but the other one I was 21,000 and something! So glad I opened both before 11am

Does anyone know how far a walk the travel lodge at Euston train station is from the theatre? Might be handier if we're getting trains down

I got tickets too - I was almost 17,000 in the queue and it said that you were unlikely to get them if you were past 15,000. I thought I'd give it a go, left it for 3 hours and then got into it to book. Great seats too - but extremely expensive!

OP, central London is pretty easy to get around and the theatre is easily accessible - if you're making a weekend of it, what else are you planning on doing?

It's about 30 minutes walk from Euston to the theatre Matilda. Or a short bus ride. Euston is a fairly good location to base yourself.

Sounds perfect plus there's lots around to do. Far too much for one weekend but will see what we can do. Favourite museums anyone?
