Visiting my DB and family at Easter with DH and our 2 DC. They live in Kent and we'd like to go into London for a day trip. We can get the train into Charing Cross. My problem is that I have limited mobility and although I can walk (with a stick), I don't think I could manage much walking when we get there.
Any recommendations for something we could do that is a reasonably short taxi ride (or bus, I suppose) from Charing Cross that wouldn't involve a massive amount of walking for me? We did the Natural History Museum a couple of years ago so not that. Covent Garden is a big no because of the cobbles!
DDs both love Lego so I was thinking of the new Lego Store (Leicester Sq?) but wasn't sure what else there would be around there for the rest of the time.
The alternative is that we try to hire a wheelchair (although psychologically I don't know if I'm ready for a wheelchair). A quick Google suggested that a mobility scooter isn't great for Central London. I also can only find wheelchair hire places that deliver to hotels but we're only heading in for the day.
Any ideas? TIA
