Legoland Windsor - is one day enough or do we need an overnight stay?

My 8 year old daughter really wants to go to Legoland Windsor. We were thinking next Easter holidays when the weather is better. I've looked at the package prices for 2 day - 1 overnight stay and it's £350!! We could go away for the week almost for that!
Is a one day visit enough or would we need 2 days? Thanks.

One day is enough, although it's lots of fun to stay in the hotel - we did it last year but tbh on the second day we didn't stay in the park that long. Having said that, we went in term time (thank god for local INSET day) so we hardly queued on the first day and went on all the rides we wanted, multiple times. In the school holidays you'll spend a lot more time queuing so you may find it more relaxing to be able to stay till closing time on day one (without queuing for hours to get out of the car park!) and pop back the next morning for anything you missed.

We stayed at the travelodge in the centre of Windsor instead of the onsite hotel. It was much cheaper and right next to Windsor castle, you can catch a bus from the castle to Legoland. You probably could do it in a day but it was nice to go back the next day and see some of our favourite things again. They had a special offer on at the time where you could come back the next day for a fiver if you produced the ticket from the day before but I'm not sure if that's a regular thing. Mind you that was only if you had paid full price, if you use a coupon you can't take advantage of both offers

I would go for two days.
Why don't you go at a time that isn't Easter then it will be a lot cheaper?
We went in October and had two day package with a night at the premier inn.
Queues will be long at Easter so get q bots.
