Glasgow!! Child free weekend- help!

I'm going to Glasgow with a couple of friends soon. We're staying centrally.

Looking for a nice upmarket, buzzy lunch spot near the shopping.
Also looking for somewhere in the evening-would like to get a bit dressed up. Thinking drinks/dinner.

Are we better keeping Central or would the West End be better?
