Hi thinking of going on holiday this year to Cornwall, out of term time, and was wondering where is good to stay with an 18m year old? Thanks

when we stay in cornwall we stay HERE they have a swimming pool and farm animals and a childrens games barn that is huge and great for when it rains.

I would look for places that offer things for free like stairgates, cots, high chairs etc and don't assume that everywhere you book will have them available. also with LO I think parking is important. Cornish villages look a great idea until you realise that your parking spot is miles away up a hill. I would have a look at the visit cornwall website as well.

Also have a look at Bosinver near the Eden Project - a fantastic child-heaven with farm animals, playbarn, indoor swimming pool, multiple play areas and wildlife trails and regular extra activities like forest-school-type adventures.

A toddler can play for hours on a beach! My kids love the beach.

Somewhere with an indoor swimming pool in case it rains.

Newquay would tick a lot of those boxes, plus there is the zoo there as well.

I think crealy might be toddler friendly.

It depends what you want from your holiday? A static caravan could be fun - so somewhere like Perran sands? There are some higher end places with lodges and indoor pools

The BEST place for toddlers and small children is definitely Bedruthan Steps Hotel at Mawgen Porth (between Newquay and Padstow). We've been going for years since our dc were babies and I'm sad they're too old for it now!

Lovely big rooms overlooking the sea, they provide everything you would need for a toddler, nothing is too much trouble. Children's teas if you want them, if not you can eat together. Indoor and outdoor pools, soft play room, loads of outdoor play areas. Lovely beach you can access from a path at the back of the hotel (steep though!). And daily children's entertainment at 6pm in the ballroom.

Padstow is lovely to visit for a wander round and it will be much quieter in term time. You can cycle the Camel Trail and hire bikes (and toddler trailers in Padstow).
