Caravan Parks close to the Beach

Oh wise ones, I've been searching endlessly for caravans/lodges to stay with children for a week in July, I would like a pool and the beach within walking distance. Devon Cliffs was our regular place to go but wanted a change. Looking at Devon/Dorset although open to ideas.

Fire away!! :)

Me too. Looking at Cornwall though.
Close to a beach and within walking distance of somewhere to eat. Don't want to spend the holiday driving!

Lydstep beach in Tenby. I ADORE it there. Right on the beach which is private and gorgeous walls nearby. Tenby is a short drive away which is a beautiful town and Barafundle beach is near too which is my favourite beach of all-time

There is a pool there too which is indoors but converts to outdoors in nice weather when they take the roof down

Cornwall: Pentewan Sands. Has its own beach, pool and restaurant :)

Not stayed myself but a friend always has her Sun weekends at Parkdean Holywell Bay between Perranporth and Newquay. Gorgeous NT beach for surfing, big dunes, safe little river for paddling. Lush. Couple of pubs in the village. One right by the beach.

We're staying at St Ives Bay in Hayle this August. It will be our first visit so I don't know what it's like yet but it is right on a beach and has an indoor pool. There's a Haven there too but I'm not sure how close to the beach it is. Also a Haven in Perranporth with a fab surfing beach on the doorstep.

Ruda in Croyde in North Devon is supposed to be good. Walking distance to lovely beach and the village for food. It's on my list of ones to try.

We're North coast fans so South Devon and Dorset I'm a bit hazy on.

I can second ruda in croyde bay, quite a big site but plenty to do and beach is just opposite, and some nice little places to eat in the village.
haven in perranporth looks ok and to get to the beach its over dunes, but beach is lovely, I have been going to perranporth since I was a baby, not stayed at the haven site though.
another option is Woolacombe sands holiday park in devon, lovely place, we have gone there most years with our dd, its a family owned place, walking distance to beach, has indoor and outdoor pool, a bar where woolly bear comes on at 6am for a bit then the usual adult stuff like singers, bingo, comedians etc. There is a riding stables almost next door which my dd loves going to and has a couple of sessions there during our stay.
We are off to perranporth in july with a company called duchy holidays, they have some places literally on the side of the beach, and 5 mins walk to shops.
hope you find somewhere and you have a lovely time.

Gahhh I've still not booked any where.

I second Ruda. Fantastic location for beach. Has an indoor pool but if its raining you have to queue for a long time. Good facilities on site and only about a mile from Croyde village.

The only other downside is that in peak season the roads around get very busy so for example on Saturdays you can get stuck in a horrible traffic jam in Barnstaple.

But if you are happy to just stay on the site you'll be fine. The beach is very surfy - good for older kids but may not be so ideal if your DCs are younger. Although there are rock pools, river running down to beach and tidal pools for paddling.

Perran Sands, perranporth in Cornwall, it's a haven site same as sandy bay. Similar to sandy bay as you are at the top of the 'cliffs' and go down to the beach. The town of perranporth is walkable by the beach and the whole beach is 4 miles long. It's my favourite place to be

Thank you - have gone totally off course and booked Cromer as only 2 hours in the car so not as far to drive.

It's too late for you OP but can I add the lovely Freshwater Caravan Park in Dorset near Bridport.

Challabrough bay. It's a caravan park in Devon and it's right on the beach in a bay. It's a cheap park Dean one as well but has a pool.
