October half term in the UK

I'm planning ahead Grin We will be without a kitchen over the October half term week and I really want to escape the house with my toddler and 4 year old (who will have just started Reception class in September). It needs to be in the UK and not break the bank, which seems a big ask for half term week. I've looked at Centre Parcs but it's a grand for 4 nights we just can't afford that on top of a new kitchen. We've stayed at nice farm cottages before but again they are too expensive. Has anyone stayed anywhere nice that they can recommend? Up for anything really, we just need to be somewhere with a working kitchen!

If its not too far, we stayed in a beautiful lodge in Spittal, just outside Berwick upon tweed. It's only a short walk to the beach, and had lovely views and was gorgeous inside. Have a look at Elm Bank Coastal Park online.
Hope you find something.

Did you book? We have just booked at Trawsfynnydd log cabin village in North Wales. They are a bit smaller than Center Parcs but in a brilliant location with lovely views, kiddies play area etc. They are really good value for say a 5 day break.

here and here a couple of agencies that book them. It's a big site with 200 or so cabins and a shop/launderette, but there are lots of trees about, it feels quite private.
