Anyone know Bodmin?

We're heading there for a wedding this weekend - we'll be driving from Wadebridge direction for a midday wedding at the registry office in Bodmin on Sat morning.
I've not a confident driver, have never been there before, will be following the bride and have bridesmaids in my car. Is Bodmin a busy place, are we likely to come across traffic problems? First day of the school holidays and all that. Recommendations for a route through the town.

Thanks :)

Sorry if this seems a bit of a statement of the fairly obvious but tbh for the best directions Google maps route finder will be your best bet - has certainly never let me down yet. Bodmin isn't far from me, however (although I rarely go there as IMO it's a bit of am armpit of a place - apologies to any possible Bodmin locals!) so I can reassure you that it's not exactly Piccadilly Circus traffic wise and you should be OK! Yes, I've looked on google but you don't really know unless you live there. Our nearest town looks peaceful but when it's the second Saturday if the month and the farmers market you'd struggle to make a straightforward journey from one side to the other.

Bodmin is a busy market town but it does have a good number of car parks. it will be particularly busy this weekend as it is school summer holidays and my experience of staying in cornwall on holiday and trying to drive on a Saturday is that it is always busy then. also there are major works on the A30 causing diversions. leave twice as much time as you need and it will be fine.
