mum and 7 yo daughter mini-break

I'd love to take my daughter away for 24 hours. She has hardly any time on her own with me since the arrival of her little brother. She'd like somewhere with a nice pool (maybe one outside?) and I'd like it to be less than 2 hours from SW London. Someone suggested The Grove... looks v expensive, but is it worth it? Anywhere you've been that you'd recommend? Thank you :)
