Ping Pong is great for posh dim sum and weird amd wonderful tea. Canteen is good - informal. Oxo Tower has a couple ofrestaurantts - one v posh & expensive, other less so, great views.

Oblix at The Shard with drinks in their lounge bar first? Great food, AMAZING views, not inexpensive.

magdalen

it's not on the river, no nice views, but is hands down the best place in that neck of the woods

There's a Gaucho Grill along the river by Tower Bridge. It's a nice walk if the weather is good and the steaks are great. Expect to pay around £150 for dinner and drinks.

Skylon in the Royal Festival Hall is pretty nice too with good views. There's a restaurant or a less formal (cheaper) grill, which is just as good IMO.

Skylon, top of the royal festival hall?

Pizza place at Gabriel's Wharf?

Skylon and Oxo tower are nice. Brasserie is cheaper than restaurant at oxo tower and more of a lively atmosphere.

For lunch try Borough Market (check it's open!), there are some great street food stalls. Not the same as a restaurant but delicious! Then take yourself to the gin place there with the money you saved!
