Heathrow hotel/activities for toddler and me

DS (2.5) and I will be flying to the US from Heathrow next Easter. We'll be driving down the day before as it's a long way, but our flight isn't till 3pm. Any suggestions for a toddler-friendly hotel and/or nearby activities to let DS burn off some energy in the morning before the 10h flight?

What about the play gym at Heathrow gymnastics. Or pick a hotel with a pool that will usually do the job!

Thanks for the suggestion - the play gym looks good. Any idea whether it's likely to be open on Good Friday though? Had been thinking about hotel with pool too - guess it'll be worth carrying wet costumes with us for the sake of getting some exercise!

Think the Hilton has a pool/gym. If you don't mind being a 15 minute cab ride away try the Hilton Syon Park, there is a huge soft play next door and a lovely garden centre/cafe on the same site too. Most of the other on site Heathrow hotels don't have much in the way of child friendly activities.

That does look lovely but I think I'd be happier closer to the airport, probably in a hotel that gives us parking for the duration - will mean less to worry about on the day I think.

We flew from T5 for our summer holiday in June. Flight was early so we stayed at the Marriott Windsor Heathrow (it's actually Slough!) the night before. It has a nice indoor pool which almost 2 year old DS enjoyed. Free to use. Lovely room and 8 days parking at hotel for £80 or so. I booked on laterooms.com but via Topcashback.com so got about 12% cashback too!
Hoppa bus goes from outside the hotel straight to T5. Quick, cheap and easy!
Would recommend.

Could you go for a hotel in the Richmond/Twickenham area? You'd be close to loads of lovely local parks.
