Calling London experts...

Anyone with any knowledge of the London hotel scene make any suggestions for a three night stay at the end of November?

I've had a quick look online and the prices for the most basic of places are eye watering. Without going into detail this is a huge, potentially sad, definitely poignant trip for us and I need to make it nice....but on a reasonable budget!

Can anyone suggest anything worth me looking into? X

The Cumberland in Marble Arch is really nice. You can usually get some pretty good deals I think!

What do you call reasonable?

Have you thought about a serviced apartment instead of a hotel? It can be cheaper and you get lots more space.

Whereabouts do you want to want to stay in London?

Or you can get some nice fair priced Comfort Inns. I stayed in a nice one in Kensington some years ago.

Air bnb is a great suggestion or try googling 'apartments in Greenwich' - you can get some lovely places with river views for less than the price of a hotel room.

Thanks for your suggestions. I don't know London so well; I guess I'd like to be fairly central but can be flexible really if its somewhere with quick links into town.

Price...I think £450 will prob the absolute most I can stretch to

Superbreaks have their mystery hotels

it's very easy to peruse their site and work out the actual hotel too....

I put in the last weekend of november for 3 nights, 2 people,. and the mystery hotel comes up at £154 per person, room for 1-4 so adding in another bod would burst your budget, it's also full breakfast.

Pretty certain that is the Holiday Inn at KingsCross/Bloomsbury ...nearer to Finsbury, but loads of buses to get around and about.

would NOT burst your budget!!! dearie me!

If you look on their site then be sure to click alon the headings, you get different prices sometimes for the same dates depending which offer you search.

"London for less" is usually the best one, but have a good look!
