A Local Seminar…

Dear Parent,

I am a parent of two young children who attend a local primary school. The school plans to enrol on a “one iPad per child” scheme. On the one side, as a Technology Consultant, I feel that exposing youngsters to technology is great as this is their future, but on the other side and as an Electronic Engineer (PhD) who specialised in Telecomms, including working with microwaves, I am concerned about the potential health effects.

So, I did some research, including looking at past threads on mumsnet, but, wasn't totally satisfied. I've therefore decided to organise a seminar in our area and asked two medical doctors and two industry experts to present the latest scientific and medical findings. Another advantage of this approach is that I/we can ask them our questions directly.

Time : 7:30pm (duration ~2 hours)

If we attend and find that there are no issues, then nothing is lost and we can enjoy a get-together, but if they do show good (Scientific & Medical) evidence and are able to answer our questions/concerns, then the risks must be weighed-up, particularly when it relates to our children's health.

So, if you want to know more and have questions about the potential (long term?) health effects of (low power) exposure of microwave radiation from wireless devices on our children, then please pencil in the 1st of October in your diary!
