We would love to sneak away before school goes back on the 2nd Sept, 4 hours max drive from Kent. Need somewhere we could all wander, ie a town so the kids could poke about themselves as they are almost 17 now! Ideally we would love Center Parcs but its out of budget!! Really don`t want a bronze caravan on a busy site, but budget is low, around £100 a night, even two nights would be ok. Any ideas please?

northnorfolkcaravanholidays.co.uk/index.html

These caravans are all lovely, no idea if they have availability but definitely worth a try. All on the same site in Norfolk. Reasonable size site but not at all rowdy.

Thank you, had a look and only have left a 2 bedroom from the 30th -6th Sept, they won`t do a short break. Thanks anyway.

have a look at the website lastminute-cottages as they show whats available by date. £100 a night is pushing it for anything that isn't camping. good luck you might find a deal.

Have a look on ownersdirect website, email a few that still have availability and offer them a cheaper price for a short break as if they're not already booked it's usually worth their while having someone there for a few days.

Thank you both, have already trawled those sites, nothing that we can afford. There are a few very cheap cottages but they are in the middle of no-where which would not be suitable for our three!

Try snaptrip.com. They seem to have a few things available for short breaks

the problem triplets is the budget. there is definitely stuff still out there and not all in the middle of nowhere. changes to term time holidays means that school holidays prices have gone up/are going to go up a lot. good idea to make people an offer but would need to do that really the day before you want to come to make it effective. I always think on the phone rather than e mail gives you more chance.

Any clubcard vouchers to get you through the tunnel! Exchange rate good which makes Centreparks in Europe last minute prices pretty cheap.
