Lost will to live! Caravan holiday bookings!

So, we're trying to find a reasonable caravan holiday in UK for the last week in August for 7 nights (25th-1st). Essex or Norfolk areas due to travel distances.

Struggling because there are 7 of us and a dog too!

We've so far been let down by two private owners and both Haven and Park Resorts. We've had vans rented out while giving details to owners and parks quoting wrong prices for the wrong number of days.

Could anyone share any ideas on where to find a fairly cheap UK holiday in a caravan, chalet or even a blooming cave at this point!

I have checked all holiday camps, private owners sites, tourist information sites and various voucher and money saving sites.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am losing the will to live!
