Family friendly hotel Midlandsish?

I'm looking for a family friendly hotel to hold a birthday celebration this summer, somewhere where all the family can have a nice celebratory meal and stay over while someone babysits the toddler! People coming from Manchester and Surrey so ideally somewhere between the two. Any suggestions?

We've just booked a weekend at the Sketchley Grange hotel near Hinckley on the Go Leicestershire stay play explore scheme. £109 for a family room for the night and breakfast (or £179 for 2 nights), also includes tickets to 3 of 5 local attractions, including tycross zoo, national space centre and more. They are also doing a family meal deal with it - £40 fo 2 courses and a glass of wine or soft drink for the 4 people in the room (so 2 adult and 2 child meals plus drink for £40) which seemed a good deal. No idea what it is like as we haven't been yet but got reasonable reviews on trip advisor and looks like it has a nice pool etc too so hopefully it will be nice!

Definitely worth googling the go Leicestershire website as they have several hotels available and assorted deals with different themes from play to explore to theme parks to gourmet...

Alternatively if you want something further south, Milton Keynes and around has some nice hotels and restaurants, lots of things to do if you want activities and is easily accessible by road and train.

Look for something in the Cotswolds - near chalford or painswick or minchinhampton. All stunning areas
