Cottage in Cornwall

Can anyone recommend a family friendly holiday let (not a caravan) somewhere in Cornwall? One with access to a swimming pool ideally. Where would be a good area to head for with a 8, 6 and 4 yr old? Thinking of Bude perhaps? Is there lots to do?!

We stay here it has a swimming pool, farm animals, huge toy barn and is not far from the sea and we love it. it is in the se part of Cornwall nearer to Plymouth than the end and really easy to get to because you are on the a38 road not the a30 which is a car park in school hols. are you looking for this year? places are really booking up due to Mr Goves school holiday changes. have a look also at the awaywiththekids website. have used this one and the cornwall tourist board one to. Have been to Bude a couple of times but still prefer Looe on the se coast given a choice. whats your budget like?

I came on to post similar question!

We don't need a pool, dc are 10,12,14 so we need wi-fi!! Would like to be close to beaches, especially for surfing (all the dc have surfed before and are keen to do so again), but also good for dinky villages, nice places to eat and walking.

I've been looking today at cottages in St Agnes which looks nice. We can go from 24 June as in Scotland.

We've been here a few times, really family friendly, lovely cottages and a short walk to the Beach. There is also a fab surf school kingsurf on the beach which we would highly recommend - they taught both my kids to surf in no time !

I can't recommend Bosinver enough - www.bosinver.co.uk. We've been going for 8 years now, we'll be there for the 10th time in April.

weegiemum - have you considered somewhere in the St Ives Bay area? loads of really good surfing beaches, quaint villages, superb coastal walks and a good choice of amazing places to eat. St Ives itself does get really busy and if you stay in St Ives itself make sure you choose somewhere with parking, but you could stay in Carbis Bay (gorgeous beach!) for easy access to the surfing beaches (Gwithian and Hayle Towan), quaint villages (Mousehole, Newlyn, etc), plenty of choice of coastal paths walks with gorgeous scenery, and of course fab nights out in St Ives itself with a huge choice of decent places to eat.
here's a good selection of places to stay around St Ives at the end of June (depending on your budget and wish list) - all of which have wifi

June is a good time to go as it won't be as busy as August and the nights are lighter for so much longer ...... you are very lucky to be able to go then !

I live in Cornwall and would say that Mawgan Porth is one of the nicest beaches we have and great for kids, so Darcieboo your cottages look a winner to me!
