Maybe a tall order but Blackpool nice places to eat

We have to go on a family visit to Blackpool in November.

We will be in a hotel near the sea front and main shopping centre. We would like to have a cream tea in a nice hotel or restaurant. Its at the request of a relative who loves cream teas.Smile

Is there anywhere decent in Blackpool? We won't have our own transport and Dsis has mobility issues so not too many steps etc but most places we can cope with. I cant find what I'm looking for on tripadvisor .

If not a cream tea kind of place , anywhere rather special would do.

Im asking for the moon on a stick arent I?

So its true then .

Blackpool really doesn't have any nice places to eat. Fish n chips every meal it is then.

Do not go anywhere near the Metropole Hotel on the seafront. It looks impressive from the outsude but it is vile...
Not been to Blackpool for a while (fortunately) but the Imperial Hotel looks ok. I think it's the one that was used for political conferences.
Winter Gardens?

There is a Hilton Hotel? not sure if they do afternoon tea but they certainly do teas, coffee ad cakes. It looks awful from the outside but it is much much better inside.

I went to the White Tower restaurant in Blackpool a few years back and that was OK, don't know if they do a tea and cakes kind of meal though but they've got a website. My Dad lives near Blackpool and when we go and visit we always end up eating at one of the several Wethespoons as being the best option.

Thank you serin and pins

I have noted both of these to check out in person when we go.A lot will depend on how the party feels as a whole on the day IYSWIM?

It may well be that we end up in a succession of Wetherspoons -thats not a bad thing as cheap n cheerful is pretty much our norm .But if we happened on a naice place it would make the weekend a whole lot better.

There are some lovely cafe's in the town centre. The square in front of St John's church is pedestrianised and has lots of modern clean cafe's.
Not far from the shopping centre.

Looovly cakes too!
