Lands End - is it easy to get to?

we are holidaying in Cornwall and fancy taking the kids to Lands End.

How easy is it to get too, is there much else to do there and is it going to be heaving?

It is very easy to get to. The views are nice, and there is a small animals section a short walk away. Some of the attractions are ok, if you have not seen them before, some are scary for really little ones.

If the children can walk a mile, go to Sennen to visit the lifeboat centre and have an ice cream, play on the beautiful beach, and then walk back again ( it is a mile each way).

Sennen Cove day is Sunday the 25th, so there will be stuff to see, and Lands End Day is worth googling, but has probably happened already.

I can think of better places to go in Cornwall. We go regularly as have a place down there. What age are your children?

Age 8...just thought it was a must see thing and an experience for Dc. On Thurs is a life guard day with activities and fiteworks at dusk..thought this sounded ok.

Where would u recommend?

Age 8 could manage the coastal walk to Sennen. Lovely views, and nice cafes in Sennen. Good range of ice team from the shop opposite the lifeboat shop.

I would combine Lands End with something else, but it depends where you are staying. If you are an hour away, make it a full day out and visit a couple of places.

20mins before Lands End is Penzance and St Michaels mount. Check out the tide times, you may be able to walk across from Penzance to the Mohnt.

You could also go to Porthcurno, between Penzance and lands End, a beautiful beach, with a theatre (the minack) on the cliff face. There is also a telegraph musuem, but not been there.

St Ives is a must - get the train from St Erth, it only takes 15minutes but it gives beautiful views.

If you are into birds, you could spend half a day at Paradise Park in Hayle, about 25 mins from Lands End.
