Anyone been? Wondering if there's ever any discounts. Looking at May/June next year for a week.

if you are looking for May half term week then it might already be gone and cant see them doing discounts in school hols. they have always had a good write up on here. we tried to book a couple of times when kids were much younger (toddlers) but always full. also thought they looked a bit expensive for what they were. have stayed Here quite a few times and also used the tourist board website.

Think it's actually half term the week before we want to go judging by the inflated rates They are expensive i agree, but we can let our house out for that week (first week of June) because it's TT week here on the Isle of Man where we are so one will pretty much pay for the other. We will have 1.5 year old and 4.5 year old so we really are the target market for that kind of family friendly set up.

We've been many times and love it. It IS expensive, there's no two ways about it, but I do feel it offers value for money in as much as the accommodation is spotless and very good quality (decent linens, non-chintzy furniture, fantastically well equipped cottages), there's lots to do onsite and my children always have an absolute ball there.

There are never special offers, but if you leave it until the last minute to book, they often knock off 25% off any unbooked cottages a few weeks before.

Blimey Gorran. bet they hope that doesn't get out! 25%? I would be really hacked off if I had booked a long way ahead to find that the person next door had paid that much less. really surprised at this. Most places give you the most money off if you book in advance ime. theresmoretome looks like you should wait until next year if you are going to book them.

It's brilliant for little ones, we went for a few years on the run. Loads of FREE stuff to do on site. And that must be emphasised with somewhere like Haven or Centerparcs where every bloody activity/entry to leisure centre has to be paid for on top of the accommodation.

We only stopped going since my eldest turned 9 - he'd slightly outgrown some of it (playbarn and was getting too big for pony riding etc etc). Plus the bloody weather had been awful for 4 out of the 5 years we went . So we went abroad for the first time last year and the kids spent their time in the pool or on the beach. But I will always have nostalgia for toddler/pre-school friendly Bosinver!

Ps in my experience, there are very few discounts available in May, June, July, Aug, Sept as they are usually booked up well in advance, so if you need a particular week I certainly wouldn't risk leaving it till last minute.

Do it! You won't regret it! All the staff are brilliant and become like old friends if you go regularly. It's like a teeny tiny idyllic village. Heaven for children.

I don't think it's a secret mummymeister - it's posted on their Facebook page and their website. I guess they'd just rather be full and so are happy to take a hit in order to fill remaining cottages. 25% less is better to them than £0. I see what you mean, but it's the luck of the draw isn't it? Booking last minute always used to guarantee you a good deal, it's only in recent years that that has changed.

We stayed in Bosinver a few years ago.

It is great for young children, we loved the outdoor heated pool and the children collecting eggs from the hens in the morning was a wonderful experience.

I have to say that our cottage was quite small although pleasant enough. It's also a drive to go anywhere.

I wouldn't wait for the chance of a last minute discount if you are tied into a specific week, it's pretty popular.
