there are no historical places left anymore. everything is very touristified, and costs a packet to stare at roped off sections of old stuff.
im going with my parents as well as kids, so needs to be something that 67 year old dad, and unfit 61 yr old mom can do as well as 3 yr old dd.
lazing on the beach to boring.
everything advertised on the cornwall tourist site i can do staying at home and not paying for transprotation.
am i being too cynical? please give me some ideas.
sorry, just being cynical really
swimmin, local gym

i live in surrey, so with a car, evertything is a day trip away.
im looking at a place called amroth castle in wales at themooment. looks promising.
My favourite holidays are away from a computer and close to the sea with warm (not hot) sunny weather so you can walk along the beach coast easily without feeling overheated and irritable. Add a pile of good books and some good company and that's it really.
DD is 9yo and still happy to do this kind of holiday. We don't really do excursions or costly activities on holiday.
loto. the cat one sounds lovely.
any suggestions on wehre to stay? my parents like staying in very nice places, four or five stars i think? we'll be driving in from surrey, there will be about 10 of us, including kids.
fio, youre a star.
thank yo uso much.
i was going to give up, and go back to scotland.
still a nightmare though, as i dont know how many of us are going, and exactly when we are going either, and with som any people going, no one wants to make a decision. they just wan tme to book someplace.
