We spent a night here once and thought it nice. Thinking of hiring place in early july for a week with 9mth old. Is there stuff to do with baby in tow eg restarants, cafes, walks etc..? Any experiences or places to stay you'd recommend? Budget max 700 Smile

Loads of cafes and nice walks, but I prefer Salcombe which is close by.

There's the steam train to Paignton for a day out (although Paignton is a bit grim)

There's a lovely fish and chip place by the quay.

Rock fish and grill and are very child friendly. There's the ferry and boats around the harbour.

Paignton has a great zoo.

Blackpool Sands is a lovely beach (not sandy though)

You can get the lower ferry from Bayards Cove to Kingswear and then walk alongside the railway line (about a mile) to the higher ferry and back across to Dartmouth

Kendricks is child friendly

Outside the Dartmouth Arms is nice for an early evening drink

Salcombe is nice for a day trip

There are ferries which go to Totnes (hippy central)

It's nice! (I lived there for a while)
